LMN Ireland, established in 1994 in Northern Ireland, is one of LMN's nine independent branches across the UK, but also extends throughout the island of Ireland.

Throughout the year we provide concerts and workshops in different venues to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities (nursing homes, schools, hospitals, prisons, community groups etc.). In addition we support our musicians with training and also develop and realise larger scale special projects, incl. commissioning of new work (eg. Brian Irvine's A Marvellous Medicine, Peter Morgan Barnes's The Vikings and The Impostor, Intercultural Project, Music and the Deaf, Musical Memories).

The immediate future plan is to increase the level of activity across the island, develop our reminiscence project Musical Memories further and make it available for a number of nursing homes/day centres across Ireland. Our main focus is also on continuing our annual world music tours and expanding our work with early years and hearing impaired and deaf people. Main aim for the long-term future is the further expansion of our musician base and our geographical reach into the south of Ireland.

Musical Storytimes for children with LMN's Fell Clarinet Quartet

Musical Storytimes take children on a musical journey as books are brought to life through
music and movement.
Join us on a musical swashbuckling adventure with Tom and his friends as they
try to capture the treasure from the lazy grown-up pirates or help Gerald the Giraffe discover
that he can actually dance. Sing songs, play, dance and move to music as you meet the members
of the clarinet family.

LMN's Fell Clarinet Quartet has extensive experience presenting interactive concerts for children
and other audiences, as well as a highly successful recital and recording career.
For Musical Storytimes the Quartet has composed their own unique musical accompaniment.
The ensemble holds the Royal Northern College of Music's highest qualification for chamber
music performance with distinction.
