The Welsh branch was set up in 1990 and since then well over 4000 performances have taken place throughout Wales. In addition to taking performances to residential homes and day centres for older people, schools and special schools and performing each year for thousands of people who have limited access to live music, we also work extensively with mainstream venues and festivals.
Musicians from Wales and visiting musicians may find themselves performing in St David's Hall, Cardiff then going on to give a concert for people who may never visit such a prestigious venue. In north Wales our musicians frequently give a concert for children in Galeri, Caernarfon followed by a concert for older people as part of the 'Tonic' series.
Most of our work in west Wales is in association with Arts Care. We are associated with most of the major Welsh festivals and can work in both Welsh and English.
In 2010/11 we celebrate 20 years of LMN in Wales with a project entitled 'Mapping Wales'.
