Bowreed are Fred Holden (fiddle) and Ben Trott (guitar). They are a dynamic fiddle and guitar duo, specialising in music from Ireland and Scotland. Their approach to traditional music is progressive and exciting, taking influence from a multitude of genres. Their live sound is as driving as it is sensitive, creating a sound that combines authenticity with modernity. They have played at major folk festivals such as Sidmouth and Warwick, as well as for countless private events as a ceilidh band. The magic of ceilidh dancing can be heard in their music, from the rhythmic backing to the strong violin. Whoever their audience may be, they are sure of a foot stomping night of traditional music.
