ConunDrum

ConunDrum are a percussion duo comprised of Harry Greenway and Ellen Smith. Their music is primarily based around tuned percussion instruments – marimba, xylophone and glockenspiel – but also often utilises drums and other percussion instruments. Their repertoire consists of a variety of music, including classical transcriptions, jazz-influenced works, contemporary compositions (some self-penned) and their own arrangements and medleys of modern songs. The result is an energetic performance with both something new and something familiar for any audience. The pair met while studying for their Masters in Percussion Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and were influenced by many of their teachers there, including Patrick King and Owen Gunnell (one half of O-Duo). When not performing with ConunDrum, they are still an energetic group – Harry enjoys running while Ellen prefers cycling.
