Joe is a pianist based in London, and enjoys working as both a collaborative musician and as soloist. As a solo performer, he is particularly interested in neglected piano repertoire of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, from neoclassical and jazz-influenced music of the 1920s to post-minimalist and crossover genres of today. Performances frequently feature improvisation, recitation and story-telling, electro-acoustics, auxiliary instruments, and audience participation.
