Vesta Trio

The Vesta Trio was formed in 2013 at the RWCMD by Alex Griffiths (Flute), Lowri Thomas (Viola) and Megan Morris (Harp). During their final year at the college they received the Cardiff Violins Chamber Prize (2015). They have performed recitals at venues such as the prestigious Dora Stoutzker Hall, the National Museum of Wales and for events including The Festival of Flowers and Barry Arts Festival. They also perform as duets and in 2014, Megan and Alex performed for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Pembrokeshire. Since graduating, Lowri and Alex have continued their studies in London while Megan has been busy as a freelance harpist in Cardiff. During this time, the trio have been representing the Music and Hospitals scheme, providing music for communities across Wales and England. The trio are thrilled to be able to pursue their work in the community through their acceptance on to the prestigious Live Music Now scheme (2017).
