Live Music Now Partners with Person Centred Software to Bring Music into Care Homes

Live Music Now has teamed up with Person Centred Software (PCS), provider of the Oomph! WELLBEING AND ACTIVITIES PLATFORM, to bring the joy and benefits of live music to thousands more care homes across the UK.

Through this collaboration, Live Music Now musicians will deliver an initial six-session pilot programme of recorded concerts, each accompanied by tailored resources, which will be accessed by over 2,100 care homes and 19,100+ users on the Oomph! platform. The sessions will be accessible for one month at a time, providing care home residents with enriching musical experiences designed to uplift, connect and improve wellbeing.

Jack McKechnie, Partnership Manager at Person Centred Software, added:“We are excited to collaborate with Live Music Now. Their unique expertise in delivering music in health and care settings is a perfect fit for our Oomph! platform. This partnership means care homes will have access to high-quality music sessions that not only entertain but also enrich residents’ daily lives.”

Ruth Mulvey, Programme Director – Music in Health at Live Music Now, added:
“Music has an extraordinary ability to uplift, comfort and connect. By partnering with PCS and Oomph!, we can reach thousands more people in care settings and ensure that residents benefit from the proven health and wellbeing impacts of live music.”

The sessions start in October with the first featuring Live Music Now and Royal Harpist Mared Pugh-Evans, who sent this clip to announce the launch the new partnership.

This new partnership reflects Live Music Now’s ongoing mission to improve lives through the power of music, and PCS’s commitment to providing care homes with meaningful, evidence-based activities that enhance daily life.
