Congratulations to Julian Lloyd Webber on his appointment as Principal of Birmingham Conservatoire

Following the retirement of Professor David Saint, Birmingham Conservatoire announced this week that Julian Lloyd Webber will be taking over as its new Principal next month. The news has been greeted with great excitement by the conservatoire, in Birmingham, and throughout the music and education sectors.

Since his retirement from performance, Julian has been developing a new focus, developing his interests in music education and outreach in particular. We were thrilled when he joined LMN last year, whilst also continuing in his role as Chair of Sistema England.

'On behalf of everyone at Live Music Now, I would like to congratulate Julian Lloyd Webber on his appointment as the new Principal of Birmingham Conservatoire. An excellent choice, for both Julian and for Birmingham. We look forward to continuing to work with Julian, and hope that this might lead to new opportunities and partnerships for our musicians as well.' – Ian Stoutzker CBE, Founder Chairman of Live Music Now
