Between September 2009 and December 2010 a total of 22 Runwood Residential and Day Care establishments for Older People in Essex provided the venues for a series of 'Live Music Concerts' funded by a grant from Essex County Council.
An evaluation was commissioned to evidence the difference that this programme of concerts made to the quality of life of the Runwood residents, and whether the concerts also provided opportunities for Staff to view the residents differently. This report shares the outcomes and information about the use of live music which can be used by other practitioners dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people living in residential homes.
