Live Music Now Wales welcomes Claire Cressey as its new Director.
We are delighted to announce this new appointment, as LMN seeks to build on its work providing music sessions in care homes, special needs schools, festivals, and more, all around Wales.
Claire Cressey has worked in the arts, youth and charity sectors for the past 15 years and has brought many high quality art projects to community audiences and socially excluded groups.

Chair of LMN Wales, Baroness Morgan of Ely said, "Claire has hit the ground running since she took over as Director of LMN in Wales. She brings with her a wealth of experience of musical engagement in the community and will provide energy and vigour to drive the charity forward and continue with LMN's respected work in Wales."
As Assistant Director for Artswork, the national youth arts development agency, Claire established and led on the development and delivery of the first English national Youth Arts Network (ENYAN) as well as Artsplan – the UK leader in youth arts professional development. In her previous role as Community Producer with the Welsh National Opera she devised and delivered 'Street Songs', an innovative programme of song writing projects and performances across the South Wales Valleys and Wrexham county. Claire also produced the world premiere of Errollyn Wallen's Carbon 12: A Choral Symphony with over 250 community and professional performances and the community oratoria 'The Journey' by Alan Harris (Librettist) and Richard Barnard (Composer). Recent projects include 'Nine Stories High', a live monthly soap opera for Wrexham, and 'Singing Doctors', a year-long residency at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Claire is also responsible for setting up and managing Wave Project Cymru in South Wales- a not-for profit using surfing to benefit the lives of disadvantaged children and young people living with mental and emotional health issues.
