LMN North West and LMN North East are looking for new musicians (soloists and bands) in Acoustic, Rock & Pop, Classical, Jazz, Folk and World Music genres. LMN offers training and paid performance opportunities to emerging professional musicians. Our scheme helps musicians kick-start their professional career whilst allowing them to engage with a wide variety of audiences.
We're looking for brilliant artists who want to develop themselves professionally, and who have that spark and passion to share their music with a wider audience including older people in care homes, children with special educational needs, and other vulnerable groups. Renowned classical guitarist Craig Ogden was an LMN North West musician in the late 1990's. 'My years spent performing on Live Music Now provided a rich and invaluable start to my career. Musically and personally it was incredibly broadening and often humbling. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to perform for people who were unable to attend formal concerts and the many memories I have of my LMN days will stay with me forever.'
Current LMN North West musician Paul Exton-McGuinness is a member of the chamber brass quartet Slidin' Out. 'We have had an amazing journey with Live Music Now! It has helped us grow and develope as musicians and individuals by helping other people. Sharing our passion for music with people of all ages and abilities is most rewarding.'
