We are eager to share outcomes from our AHRC-funded research project (a collaboration with the University of South Wales) as they arise, to ensure that we are communicating our findings so that others in the sector can learn from them and develop their practice in response. We hope that this will amplify our agenda to widen access to music for autistic children and young people.
The first phase of the project involved Dr. Beth Pickard reviewing existing research related to music provision in Autism Resource Bases across the UK. Here is a summary of the scoping review, which highlights the lack of research on this subject.
