Carys Gittins (flute), Agnieszka Żyniewicz (viola) and Lise Vandersmissen (harp) bring their Welsh, Polish and Belgian influences together in the Aglica Trio. They met during their studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, and are passionate about exploring repertoire by lesser-known composers alongside the standard trio repertoire. The Aglica Trio recently won the chamber music competition organised by the classical radio (Klara) in Belgium: Supernova 2024.
The Aglica Trio also writes their own music, in which they experiment with percussive elements, poetry and singing. When they are not making music together, Carys, Agnieszka and Lise love to do arts and crafts such as knitting, woodworking and painting.
