“Ben Sayah is a Manchester based guitarist and singer. He graduated from Salford with a 1st in Music in 2014, receiving the Johnny Marr performance award for achieving the highest grade in his year. Since then, Ben has continued making music, touring and recording albums with world music band, Kabantu and progressive rock band, Scarlet Castles. Alongside both bands, Ben also does session work in Manchester, recording and gigging with local artists.
Kabantu won the prestigious Royal Over-Seas League competition in 2017 and since then have toured across the UK, Switzerland and Luxembourg. After releasing the album, ‘Of the People’, produced by Mercury-nominated Gerry Diver, Kabantu have sold out venues from Band on the Wall in Ben’s home town to concert halls in Shetland, Cardiff and London.
As a member of Kabantu, Ben has also done collaborative concerts with BBC singers, toured with Welsh orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru and even appeared in Yolanda Brown’s brand new show for CBeebies.
Ben’s guitar playing stems from classical training but he has extended his technique to include disciplines from country, jazz and rock.”
