Dancing Embers are Ciara Jackson (Flutes, Whistle) and Rowan Bryn (Guitar, Percussion). They began playing together in 2017 when they were studying for their Music MAs at York University and developed a repertoire of traditional Irish tunes which they enjoy performing alongside their own compositions. They have a strong interest in contemporary Irish and global folk music.
Expect a mixture of both mellow lyrical lines alongside more foot-stomping rhythmic tunes. Inspired by the power of music to connect people, they love to incorporate participatory elements into their music.
