The Elvina Duo is comprised of Mared Pugh-Evans (harp), an awarding winning harpist from Aberystwyth, and Katie Sazanova (flute, sax, clarinet), a multi-instrumentalist based in Hertfordshire. Founded on a love of performing to diverse audiences throughout the community, the duo combines classical training with a modern twist.
Mared is fluent in Welsh and Katie is fluent in Russian, and the duo love to bring their cultural flavours together, taking their audience on a thrilling journey through the world of contrasting textures and colours that the flute and harp can portray. Inspired by their experiences in the community, Elvina Duo love to incorporate participatory elements into their concerts. They are versatile artists, at home with classical music, improvising and storytelling.
