Festivo Winds are a dynamic wind quintet based in the North West. Formed at the RNCM the members found a distinctive sound and palpable sense of energy when performing together.
They champion works from the core repertoire, as well as new music and arrangements, and are committed to presenting them with a fresh and exciting perspective. Expect to hear classic works by Mozart and Nielsen interwoven with music by Piazzolla and Ligeti.
Whether performing on a remote Scottish island, the rolling hills of Tuscany or the windy cliffs of the Peak District Festivo are always seeking to bring inspiration to their music making.
