Described by Bob Harris (BCC Radio 2) as ‘One of his absolute favourite artists’, Lowri is blessed with a voice capable of wide emotional power, performing on guitar and piano, her songs take their musical colours from a broad palette that includes Bilingual Americana, Folk, Country and Blues. Lowri has that rare ability to immediately bond with an audience, transporting them to the emotional heartland of every song she sings.

Pembrokeshire born and bred, Lowri was immersed in local and National Eisteddfod’s from a young age, competing as a soloist, duets and in choirs. At the age of 18 Lowri went to university in Newcastle Upon Tyne and achieved a BMus Honours degree in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music.

Over the last 15 years, Lowri has released 8 albums, toured the USA, been commissioned to compose songs for specific BBC radio programmes and regularly performs in venues across the UK and in festivals such as Cambridge Folk, Celtic Connections and Hay Festival.

Lowri has worked with TRAC (Wales’s Folk Development organisation) for many years, performing in showcase projects at the Folk Alliance International and involved in exchange projects with songwriters from England, Canada and Wales. Lowri has also been employed by Swansea University to lead musical workshops for Welsh learners.

Previously nominated for Welsh Female Artist of the Year and runner up in the Cân i Gymru (Song for Wales) competition. Lowri has always been very sport-orientated and has competed in triathlons over the years. She also loves to dance!
