Bio

Megan Morris is a classically trained Welsh harpist who performs a range of musical genres from classical and folk to pop and rock. Megan’s favourite genres to play are classical Spanish pieces, traditional Welsh songs and pop. Her influences come from her hearing her older brother who studied classical guitar and was also in a pop/rock band. Megan was educated through the medium of Welsh so the yearly Eisteddfodau played a big part in her musical journey. She went on to study the harp at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and it was there that she auditioned for Live Music Now, originally with the Vesta Trio (flute, harp and viola). Megan is currently on a one year residency with an SEND school in South Wales as part of LMN’s Inspire Programme.

Megan lives with her partner and 1 year daughter Lorena who is mesmerised with the harp and has inspired her to set up a mum and baby music class in Cardiff which incorporates live harp music with storytelling, singing and sensory.
