Neil and Meg Browning are folk multi-instrumentalists playing button accordions, guitar, banjo, bouzouki, bodhran, and bass. Their music is primarily lively traditional tunes (and occasional songs) from Wales, Scotland and England, but also includes music from further afield in Europe and America. They sometimes also feature quirky compositions of their own!
Their musical experience is extensive, and includes running sessions, festival workshops, a ceilidh band, and a folk concert band (‘Never Mind the Bocs’) with whom they have performed in the UK and America. Neil and Meg can also be found playing bass and guitar in the ‘Gypsy Jazz’ style both in jam sessions and gigs with other bands. They were part of the organising team for the ‘March Manouche’ festival that ran for five succesful years (2015-2019).
As a duo, during lockdown they filmed several concerts (presented bilingually in Welsh and English) on behalf of the William Mathias Music Centre where they have both been tutors for many years.
