This North Wales based duo started working together several, years ago, performing the music they love. This ranges from early jazz and show tunes, the rock and pop years into Welsh and traditional folk songs, with Richy a Welsh speaker. They have developed a large and varied repertoire that suits most audiences and environments, performing with energy, passion and humour that engages and entertains.
Richy’s background is in choral singing, but through the training programmes of Pete Churchill and Nikki Illes he was introduced into the world of jazz – and as they say the rest is history. Richy is now one of North Wales’ main jazz singers and in constant demand by jazz clubs and concert venues.
Andy has been a freelance guitarist for 50 years and has a varied background – from records, TV shows, film soundtracks, royal receptions, international jazz festivals, clubs and concerts. He has also played more weddings and bar mitzvahs than he cares to admit. He is a regular member of the Billy Thompson gypsy folk quintet and part of LMN Wales.
Working together, their combined experience and talent will ensure a performance of the highest standard. The duo has a huge amount of fun in each other’s company – and this is reflected in their music.
