Steppin’ Out are a dynamic jazz trio from Leeds featuring Harry Orme (guitar/voice), Simon Czestochowski (trumpet) and Tom Hawthorn (drums). With a repertoire spanning the birth of the music in New Orleans, the golden eras of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, and the swinging big band music of Ellington, Sinatra and Basie, Steppin’ Out draw on a deep knowledge and passion for the music to connect with every audience. Having worked with LMN for more than a decade, Steppin’ Out are proud to have brought their performances to venues of every kind, from concert halls to care homes and classrooms.
‘Enthusiastic and inspiring musicians, with an ability to entertain all of the children in our care. Faced with an audience of children aged from 10 months to 4 years, there really was something for everyone. We sang and danced and even had a go at being the conductor. Considering the positive developmental effects of music in the early years, highly recommended as not only a musical performance, but a learning opportunity too.
