Make Music, Make Change
Live Music Now has been selected to take part in the Big Give – Arts for Impact 2026 campaign to raise vital funds supporting people across Wales facing challenges due to ill-health, disability or social isolation.
This funding will enable our professional musicians to bring the proven health and wellbeing benefits of live music directly into special schools, hospitals and community settings. Through uplifting, interactive sessions, participants can feel healthier, more confident and better able to express themselves.
Support will also enable delivery of established programmes including:
- Lullaby supports maternal mental health through collaborative songwriting
- Count Me In! offers group music-making for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties
By bringing music directly to people who face barriers to accessing arts experiences, we can help reduce isolation, support wellbeing and strengthen communities across Wales.
How it works
Our challenge is to raise £1,500 during campaign week. If we reach this target, it will be matched by the Big Give’s Champions, doubling the total to £3,000 for our work in Wales.
Our campaign launches at midday on Tuesday 17 March 2026 and runs for seven days, closing at midday on Tuesday 24 March 2026.

Why music?
Access to live music is proven to improve mood, confidence and resilience, and can reduce reliance on pain and anxiety medication. Yet many people in Wales face significant barriers to these benefits due to disability, ill-health, social isolation, poverty and rural disadvantage, alongside overstretched health and education services.
Live Music Now’s programmes are designed to reach those most vulnerable to exclusion and bring high-quality music experiences directly into education, health and community settings.
All donations to our campaign will help deliver live music to people who might otherwise have little or no access to it, supporting wellbeing, connection and self-expression.
