Ways to Fundraise:
Community Fundraising Events: Get involved with your local community and organise a fundraising event. This could be anything from a bake sale to a pub quiz. Have a look at our handy Fundraising A-Z for inspiration!
Sports/ Challenge Events: Feeling like taking on a challenge? Walk, run, climb or even skydive! Ask friends and family to sponsor you – you could even add a musical twist and let them choose your playlist! You can organise these challenges yourself, or sign up to an official marathon, for example. We ocassionally have set places for these types of events so check here or on our social media to stay updated.
Celebrate a Milestone: If you’ve got a birthday or special occasion coming up and want to give someone the gift of music, setting up a fundraiser couldn’t be easier. Platforms like Facebook fundraising and JustGiving allow you to easily collect donations by choosing ‘Live Music Now’ as your charity.
To remember a loved one: Fundraise in honour of someone who loved music or benefited from the work of Live Music Now. See our ‘Legacy’ page for more info.
Goal-based Fundraising: Challenge yourself to adopt a new hobby or give something up, getting family and friends to sponsor your efforts.
Musicians and concerts: If you’re a musician and are performing at a concert or gig – why not make it a charity affair? Have a bucket or contactless donation machine that the audience can donate to.

Filkin’s Drift: Walking Wales
870 miles – 2 musicians – 40 shows
To release their new record ‘Rembard’s Retreat’, Live Music Now musicians Seth Bye and Chris Roberts of Filkin’s Drift walked the entire Wales Coast Path, performing every night on the journey. The achievement was a radical approach to sustainable touring and raised an amazing £3,588 for Live Music Now.
Watch the videos below to hear more about their journey and find out why it means so much for us here at Live Music Now.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM)
We’ve had 18 runners over the past 2 years who have completed the London Landmarks Half Marathon and raised over £6000 for Live Music Now. We’ll be taking part in the LLHM again this year and can’t wait to support our team from the sidelines.
Not a runner but want to get involved? We always need a hand on the sidelines, cheering on our runners. We’re looking for volunteers who can bring the energy, both at the race and at the after-race gig! Click here to learn more about volunteering with us.
We love taking part in the LLHM – it’s a fantastic event which sees thousands of people running past some of Londons most famous landmarks – including our Somerset House office!
Being Live Music Now, we can’t resist also adding a musical element to the event, with a live band at our cheer station (see below photos of Borges Machado and Duo Pneumatik), plus a special after-race gig to celebrate our runners!
Swipe through below to hear why our runners chose to run for us and what Live Music Now means to them.
