Mirarchi’s Musical Miles

LMN musicians are used to clocking up the miles as they travel to our audiences throughout the UK. HSBC banker, Alex Mirarchi travelled from Canary Wharf, London to Poland to run a full 26 miles at the Warsaw Marathon to support the work of Live Music Now.

Alex raised a fantastic total of £1887 which will help us deliver more life-changing music projects for children with special needs and disabilities. On behalf of all our musicians and audiences we would like to say a heartfelt thank you and congratulations.

"Why I chose to support LMN is simple; the organisation's mission aides critical areas of society with the powerfully transformative element of live music, all while investing in talented, young musicians."

Alex's connection with music runs deep, he ran the marathon in memory of his grandmother Aurelia Barboni, whose love for music was passed down generations. "My grandmother was one of the biggest music lovers I had the pleasure to know. She would chase my mother and uncle around the house as children, tickling them whenever a Rossini overture was played. This, in turn, my mother did to my sisters and me. Always. And now Rossini is inseparable with tickling (just think Barber of Seville).

If you want to celebrate a personal connection with music you can donate through LMN's Just Giving page
