Transforming Communities

Care Services: Tell us your thoughts – and win a concert!

Live Music Now is asking care service professionals and activity providers to help further develop the LMN musicians’ training programme* by sharing their knowledge and experience in this survey.

Live Music Now supports the musical lives of people in care homes by connecting musicians with the people who live and work in them. This includes one-off concerts as well as longer residencies, participatory music-making, creative songwriting, and developing the musical skills of care teams.
You can find out more about Live Music Now’s work in care here.

We train professional musicians to be able to work well in the places they visit and with the people they meet to ensure quality of practice and the best outcomes for all.  The training is underpinned by a competencies framework which covers all aspects of their practice: planning and preparation; session content; engaging participants and care service; developing a reflective approach.

It is very important to that this framework is relevant, practical, and informed by practice and the people we work with. To ensure this, we’d like to hear from care service professionals. We are keen to understand how musicians can get the best out of working in care services and with the people and communities they will meet.

The survey has been designed in consultation with National Activities Providers Association and is being supported by partners National Care Forum and Care England.

As a thank-you for filling in the survey, we will enter participants (and the care service they work in) into a prize draw. Up for grabs is one free live concert or a pamper kit for you and your team!

The survey comprises 11 questions, and will take approximately 10 minutes to fill in. Please complete the survey by 25th March 2022 to be included in the prize draw.
