Live Music Now returns to Harrogate International Festival with a performance by Aurora Trio as part of their Young Musicians series.
The Aurora Trio was established in 2012 by Emma Halnan (flute), Joe Bronstein (viola) and Heather Wrigton (harp) whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Since its conception, the Aurora Trio has performed at a number of important venues across the UK. Recent engagements include recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Colston Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall Front Room, Halesworth Festival, Norwich and Norfolk Festival and Roehampton University.
In 2014 they were awarded a prestigious chamber music fellowship at The Royal Academy of Music for the academic year 2014-15, and were re-awarded the fellowship for 2015-16. During their time as chamber music fellows, they are working closely with performers and composers from the student body as well as from the Junior Department and Open Academy (the learning and participation department). The Aurora Trio are current artists for both Live Music Now and the Concordia Foundation.
