Musical Mondays streams fun, engaging, interactive concerts directly into school classrooms. Our series for mainstream primary schools allows pupils to hear musicians from a wide variety of musical genres and artistic backgrounds, learn about different instruments, ask questions and join in with a range of activities.

Alice Phelps
Alice Phelps is a classical cross-over double bassist and vocalist who enjoys creating genre-bending music for curious minds. She releases original music under the name Phellotape and plays double bass for a number of ensembles including The Untold Orchestra, Kaleidoscope Orchestra and The Northern Film Orchestra.

Angharad Jenkins & Patrick Rimes
Award-winning musicians Angharad Jenkins and Patrick Rimes (violins & vocals) combine their love and knowledge of Welsh folk music with vibrant playing and beautiful vocal harmonies.

Apollo’s Cabinet
Apollo’s Cabinet are a flexible Baroque ensemble dedicated to bringing early music to a wider audience. Winners of many major international competitions for their innovative programmes, the group offer a signature mix of acting, dancing, poetry and fun to bring historical performance to modern audiences.

Clara Pople
Clara Pople is a vocal looper who creates intricate, evocative music. Blending influences as vast as early trip hop, electronica, folk and avant-pop, her music is not defined by genre. Clara’s voice is her instrument and her accompaniment, creating dark bass lines, syncopated beatboxing rhythms and 6-part harmonies – all with her voice.

Amruta Garud
Amruta Garud is a vocalist and a skilled performer of tanpura, harmonium and Indian percussion. She studied Indian classical music at Nagpur University and performs in a range of ancient and modern Indian styles from Bhajans (devotional songs) to Bollywood. Her original music is firmly rooted in Indian classical traditions with influences of folk styles from both East and West.

Brass for Africa
Brass for Africa’s musicians perform and teach music to young people in their communities across Rwanda, Liberia and Uganda. Members of the All-Star band started their musical journeys with Brass for Africa as children and now bring lively, joyful performances to new generations.
