Songs and Scones

Our Songs & Scones programme engages people living in the community who face loneliness and isolation. The events are particularly aimed at older people, but all are welcome to attend.

Friday 13 October

Henry and Elliott are award-winning musicians playing new acoustic music rooted in the traditional music of the British Isles. Singer-songwriter Elliott Morris blends blues- and roots-infused guitar with vocals. Henry Webster is a classically-trained violinist turned folk fiddle-player.

Join award winning musicians Ainsley Hamill and Toby Shaer for a mixture of Scottish and self-penned songs and story-telling to get you in the festive spirit in the lead up to Christmas.

Clea Rose is a singer songwriter with a soulful voice from Medway. She’ll be performing some of her own songs and some by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison and Dua Lipa. She loves playing live and enjoys chatting and laughing with her audience!

Maz O’Connor is a gifted singer of both traditional and self-penned songs. Maz’s own songs are often short stories, inspired by her love of literature, folklore and mythology. She accompanies her uniquely pure voice on guitar.

Filkin’s Drift reimagine traditional melodies, from delicate Welsh folk-songs to traditional English dance tunes. Chris Roberts (guitar) and Seth Bye (fiddle) blend intricate guitar tunes and boundless improvisation with their close vocal harmonies.
